Too bad you can't buy a voodoo globe so that you could make the earth spin real fast and freak everybody out. --Deep Thoughts, by Jack Handy
Here's a funny story. Well, I'll think it's funny as soon as I get it cleared up.
Today at work I tried to log onto La Vie en Rose. Suddenly I got a notification that it was blocked by Websense, my company's web filter program. What was the filter category? Well, I won't put it, because just putting the word on there might block it again, if I ever get it unblocked. Needless to say, it made my site seem very shady.
So I checked out the recent comments to see if anything would have triggered that, and decided that a short conversation we had recently, concerning a certain hair salon establishment, where the women wear less than they should, might have triggered that filter.
Then I got an e-mail from Brandon in my office, asking what on earth I was putting on my website to get it blocked for something so bad! Made me feel dirty. Now I'm wondering if our IT group can see me repeatedly trying to access a website that has already been determined to have shady content. I would certainly hope they would let me explain myself on that one...
My only concern now is that - once it gets recorded as being shady, will it stay that way - no matter what's on it?
Now we can all laugh. But I will stay thoroughly disturbed until I can figure that out.
